Ashley School recently underwent a significant transformation, giving new life to 29,500 square feet of its building through interior renovations focused on functionality, safety, and student experience.
A major highlight of the project was the conversion of the former library into a community fitness center, secured with fob-only entrances to ensure safety while still welcoming public use. Inside the school, the administrative area was reimagined to require visitors to pass through before they enter the school. The administrative space now offers a refreshing reception office, conference room, and staff work area, creating a safe and efficient hub for visitors and staff.
Students benefit from updated classrooms, a new computer lab, and a relocated library with cozy corner reading spaces. Additionally, renovated hallways, restrooms, and locker rooms enhance the day-to-day experience for students.
Behind the scenes, the school also received major infrastructure upgrades. The building is retooled with a new fire alarm and HVAC controls system, replacement of the domestic water supply line, and an upgraded electrical gear system. Roofing improvements included replacing approximately 18,850 square feet of elementary school roof and completing preventative maintenance on the remainder of the existing roofing.
The Ashley School renovation is a thoughtful investment in an environment where students, staff, and the community can thrive for years to come.
