Construction Jobsite Safety Protocols Leads to Safer Worksites

Safety

Culture

Safety isn’t just a policy. It’s part of who we are.

Every Consolidated Construction project follows strict safety protocols based on the ABC STEP program. In 2023, we proudly earned the Platinum STEP designation, recognizing our commitment to safety excellence.

  • Managers and Supervisors are directly responsible for safety and training.

  • Regular inspections ensure jobsite and equipment compliance.

  • All employees are trained to prevent and eliminate hazards.

Site Specific Safety Plans

Before any work begins, we develop a custom safety plan tailored to the project and jobsite. This plan is reviewed with project managers, field crews, and subcontractors.

Weekly Toolbox Talks:

  • Short safety meetings held onsite every week

  • Cover rotating safety topics relevant to the job

  • Reinforce critical behaviors and site-specific risks

Subcontractor Safety Meetings:

  • Weekly check-ins to communicate updates

  • Focused on high-risk tasks and safety expectations

Jobsite Inspections

Our in-house Safety Manager conducts routine site inspections to ensure compliance with all safety measures. Each site undergoes a 105-point audit across 16 key job areas, evaluating:

  • Identified and potential hazards

  • Upcoming activities and risks

  • New materials, tools, and equipment

  • Compliance with fall protection, rigging, welding, scaffolding, housekeeping, fire safety, and more
