Associated Builders and Contractors Honors Consolidated Construction with 2023 Top Performers Recognition

Consolidated Construction Co., Inc., (CCC) a full-service design/build firm, has been recognized with the prestigious Top Performers designation from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). Consolidated is one of only five Wisconsin-based contractors to earn the Top Performers designation for 2023.

ABC is a national construction trade organization representing more than 22,000 members across the United States. Their mission is to help member-companies develop people and deliver work safely, ethically, and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which they work.

ABC’s Top Performers recognition goes to contractors whose achievements in safety, quality, diversity, and project excellence set them apart from their peers.

To qualify for national Top Performers consideration, Consolidated Construction achieved two important milestones:

  1. CCC earned ABC Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) Gold status
  2. CCC was recognized as an ABC Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC)

In the ABC STEP Safety Management System assessment, firms measure their safety processes and policies on 25 key components designed to implement and enhance safety programs that reduce jobsite incidents. Studies show contractors demonstrating Gold STEP status operate six times safer than the industry average, as measured by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

To qualify as an Accredited Quality Contractor, CCC underwent a rigorous assessment of its performance in five key areas: Quality, Safety, Talent Management, Education & Training, and Community Relations.

Through STEP, AQC, and other robust ABC programs, ABC Top Performers like Consolidated Construction demonstrate they:

  • Offer market-competitive compensation, benefit, and retirement packages
  • Commit to world-class safety
  • Commit to workforce development, educations and creating career opportunities
  • Commit to an inclusive and diverse work environment
  • Develop opportunities for their employees to achieve their career dreams
  • Cultivate committed leadership

“This award didn’t just happen overnight,” noted CCC Chief Executive Officer John Schneider. “Earning Top Performers recognition is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication from every corner of our organization. We are not a top-down company. We are core-value centered, and driven to deliver quality experiences to our clients, co-workers, and the communities in which we do business. I’m proud to say this award reflects that commitment.”
