Handing Over the Keys

As the physical construction closes out and commissioning wraps up, there’s a celebration of the project where the keys are handed over to the owner.

Protecting The Thin Blue Line

This is the third building project we have done for ASP and we were the right fit to seamlessly tie their new 35,000 sq. ft. expansion in with the original two facilities, making it look like the entire complex was built at the same time.

As ASP’s business continues to grow in double-digit percentages, not only in sales, but in the breadth and depth of products they manufacture, the expansion supports current and projected growth, and provides much-needed space for assembly, service, product development, testing, multimedia production, training and more.

ASP provides law enforcement, military, and security professionals with the finest tools and training for the safe performance of their duties, like expandable batons, restraints, and tactical lighting. Their products are trusted by more than four million professionals in 100+ countries.

The operators of Care Partners-Country Terrace Assisted Living aren’t new to senior living trends. Residents and their families desire safety and comfort, but more and more resort-style amenities. Consolidated’s senior living group delivers, with a hospitality paradigm that generates innovative ways to design beautiful, relaxing spaces that are economical to operate and enhance resident care programs.

hotk-mottBringing Two Communities Together
When Consolidated was retained in the fall of 2014, the Mott-Regent Public School District was facing many significant challenges, having their community say “not yet” to two previous referendums. The district was caught in a desperate situation: their 100-year old elementary building became very costly to operate, couldn’t meet today’s 21st century learning needs, and impeded their efforts to attract and retain talented teachers.

Consolidated provided the resources and leadership to allow Mott-Regent to gain consensus among voters, facilitating dozens of citizen meetings and developing new plans that would meet the needs of both communities. Their third referendum was successful, and now students and staff are enthusiastic to learn in a modern K-12 facility.

State-of-the-Art Safety

The North Dakota Safety Council is a private,
non-profit organization committed to promoting
safe work practices throughout the state. Serving thousands each year, their training and education programs deserved a world-class facility where NDSC staff could reach more people with a new and expanded lineup of safety courses taught in
a more memorable way.

Consolidated’s team first assisted NDSC in master planning, developing a phased approach to capital improvements that would meet their budget and fundraising requirements. Phase I of the new NDSC campus includes a nearly 5,000 square foot hands-on training lab featuring a rescue tower and equipment to be utilized during high-level fall protection, confined space rescue, rope rescue and safe scaffold assembly courses. The facility will also incorporate distance learning, a 30-person computer lab, equipment simulators and mobile training units. During Phase II a dirt floor arena and community room will be added to train on heavy equipment and host community safety events.

Rebirth of a Landmark
Nearly 11 years after it closed, a former Normal, IL hotel is now open to new life. The property, which was a former Holiday Inn, Sheraton and Staywood Inn before closing in 2006, was gutted down to the concrete by Consolidated Construction and is now an updated, full-service 158-room hotel with 12,000 feet of conference space and restaurant. Thanks to the vision of Swift Hospitality Group, residents and the City of Normal welcome the transformation of this community landmark and the economic boom that accompanies it.
