Marion2When the people of your company are working in separate buildings and double wide trailers, you know it’s time for an expansion. That was the case for Marion Body Works, a family-owned, high-quality truck body building company requiring a much needed upgrade to its headquarters and manufacturing facilities.

Marion Body Works, located in Marion, Wisconsin, chose Consolidated Construction to take on their expansion project, which included a new 18,400 square foot office headquarters and vehicle showroom and a 42,105 square foot addition to their warehouse and production building.

“The production space you built was great and put to use immediately upon your timely completion in January of 2016. I have to say that the work on our corporate office was a real ‘WOW’ for us!!! As you know, this was the largest building expansion ever undertaken by Marion Body and it was well worth it. We received great and positive comments from folks in the city of Marion as well as all the invited dignitaries at our ribbon cutting in June. Just last week, we held a National Sales Meeting for our Fire & Emergency dealers from across the country. Many of these individuals had not seen the finished work and were blown away. In addition, they were totally amazed and impressed that we broke ground on the facility last year on August 24th and occupied it in May. They are excited to put this new building to the test with new opportunities.

Our experience in working with Consolidated was over the top from beginning to end. We enjoyed working with Rob, Adam, the other designers and most especially Ray along with many of the subcontractors your team brought to the table. I am not sure when we will take on another project like this, but I would be very happy to extol the benefits of working with Consolidated to anyone who wants to listen.”

6013_3823_160708sTo remodel and expand their office space at New London Engineering, Consolidated selective-demolished and rebuilt the existing office, as well as a portion of their transition space between the office and manufacturing area.  The exterior of the building was renovated as well during this time. Consolidated was able to maintain a functioning office for New London Engineering throughout the course of the project. New London Engineering is located in New London, Wisconsin and produces conveyor systems.

“Our office upgrade was a very personal experience for me. We hadn’t had a renovation since the 1990’s and I spent years planning and envisioning the result before moving ahead. I hired Consolidated because they had been easy to work with on a prior shop expansion. After this project, I would use that same description: easy to work with. Our operations continued as normal in the midst of a six-month office renovation. Jason shouldered all the burden of cost control and scheduling, while Logan expertly managed the site and subcontractors, giving me time to run my company. When we’re ready for another project, I’m going to ask for them by name.”

“Liv Hospitality had previously performed general contracting activities for our new hotels in‐house. As our portfolio grew, we needed a building partner that could take over those functions and still meet our high‐quality standards. Consolidated’s team is made up of experienced people that understand the nuances of hotel construction, and in just a short time they’ve become like an extension of our staff. They’re committed to keeping our projects on budget and ready to open on time. It’s gratifying to have found a team that shares our company philosophy and goals.”

Consolidated was selected to improve safety and security, improve public access and perception, and improve the community library.  When it became apparent that oakescosts would exceed the School District’s budget, Consolidated worked with the Architect to reduce costs by over $150,000. Bid results resulted in further savings, and the project was completed under budget and on time.  In addition, Consolidated provided the School District with a 10-year Capital Maintenance Plan for their use in budgeting future capital improvements.

“Consolidated was an excellent choice for our district administrative office and library expansion. Their project team was insightful and down to earth and they really understood the importance of local involvement. Although Oakes is located in a remote area, over 50% of the work was performed by subcontractors within a 75 mile radius of our community. That commitment to our local economy, while still meeting an aggressive schedule and budget, made the project a success for our district and Oakes residents. I recommend Consolidated highly to other districts seeking concerned and responsible leadership of their construction projects.”

IMG_4192_sm.croppedPlans for the new Christian Faith Fellowship church in Racine, Wisconsin spanned many years, while the congregation worked prayerfully and diligently to raise funds and secure financing for their new home. Through it all, Consolidated walked with CFF through planning, fundraising, permitting, construction and dedication, never doubting the final outcome. Completion of the first phase of this multi-phase project will allow the church to accommodate 295 people at weekly services, and provide space for communal meal preparation, meetings, and special ministries. Later construction will consist of a larger worship area, outdoor facilities, and recreational areas.

“When Consolidated become our design-builder, they showed great faith in what we were doing and encouraged us when we faced challenges along the way. They led us through countless meetings and presentations, always demonstrating the highest level of professionalism. They truly have a passion to see us fulfill our vision. They are not simply working for us, they are on our team. Our partnership has produced a deep and meaningful relationship that will last long after the project is complete.”

Pastor Willie Scott

By studying the Spiros site first and understanding its wetland limitations, Consolidated was able to confidently provide master plan options to Spiros on the very first meeting, and place Consolidated far ahead of the competition. This knowledge led our architects to create the design of their 25,000sf manufacturing and office addition quickly, with all the features and amenities Spiros was looking for while still working within site restrictions. “Solid research and knowledge” was how our customer described the basis for cost and schedule estimates, and the results show in the final product.

“Today we needed an expansion and renovation, but Consolidated kept us focused on tomorrow. When we asked them to take a look at our project, they responded with a comprehensive plan that would make sense when we wanted to expand again in the future. I was impressed that they had done their homework from the very beginning, and everything they presented was based on solid research and knowledge of our site, location and growth. Their leadership and early due diligence paid off in the end with a project that ran seamlessly and met all my budget requirements. I value companies that do what they say they’ll do, and Consolidated delivered on their promise.”

A longtime, loyal customer of Consolidated Construction, L&S Electric Inc. recently expanded its Wausau South branch storage and office building by 10,800 square feet. The schedule to complete the expansion was tight, and when unexpected delays in utility relocation threatened the schedule, the Consolidated team made up the time and delivered the project on schedule.

“We have been a customer of Consolidated for more than a decade and continue to be impressed with their level of professionalism. They provide honest, competitive pricing and I know that they’ve thought of all of the details in their estimates. And as for the schedule, let’s just say that when they said it was going to happen, it happened.”

To accommodate an increase in employees and production, Suzy’s Cheesecakes decided it was time to move to a bigger building. They carefully considered over 100 other buildings and sites before committing to a vacant industrial property located in Oak Creek, conveniently situated and with expansive space, but in need of many retrofits to suit their business. Consolidated worked with Suzy’s to tailor a build-out with production, cooler and freezer space, state of the art equipment, mezzanine, and ample office and dock space.  Now with their 44,000 square foot building they have quadrupled their baking, freezing and storage capacity.

“Consolidated led us through the process of remodeling an existing facility to be the site of our new headquarters. While we were working within the parameters of an existing building shell, their design incorporated all the cooler, freezer, production and finished product areas that we needed, as well as room to grow. Our schedule had a “no excuses” occupancy deadline, and Jeremy and Curt kept things running smoothly to hit our target. Even our subcontractors have told me what a smooth project this was. I’m an advocate and will be using Consolidated when we’re ready to grow again.”
