Culture of Safety
Consolidated Construction incorporates a comprehensive safety program into our everyday culture. By using organized, systematic methods developed by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) in their Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP), Consolidated ensures Managers and Supervisors are assigned direct responsibility for safety compliance and training; work sites and equipment are inspected regularly; and all employees are trained to prevent and eliminate safety hazards.
Site Specific Safety Plans
Consolidated Construction formulates a site-specific safety plan for each and every project. Before a shovel ever hits the dirt, the plan is reviewed with project management and all participants. One-hour “Tool Box Talks” are held weekly, where a safety topic is reviewed with field personnel at the work site, and subcontractors are given specific safety instructions related to the worksite in additional weekly meetings.
Our work sites are regularly inspected by our on-staff Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety protocols . Inspection items include conducting a 105-point inspection summary in 16 job areas, covering:
