9/24/19 Consolidated Construction Welcomes Jim Olson as Director of Business Development for Southern Wisconsin
Consolidated Construction Co., Inc., a full-service design/build contractor based in Appleton, announces the addition of Jim Olson AIA, NCARB, as Director of Business Development in Southern Wisconsin.
A registered architect, Olson brings a unique combination of talents and experience to his role, having spent half of his professional career with an architectural design firm, and half with a design/build contractor. During that time, he acquired extensive experience with manufacturing, industrial, commercial, healthcare, recreation, and hospitality design and construction. Jim also has strong local ties in the greater Metro Milwaukee area, having spent the past 26 years of his professional life in the region.
“Consolidated has been expanding its business in and around Milwaukee for several years,” said Gene Scheusner, Senior Vice President of Business Development for the company. “We’ve built many healthy relationships with municipalities, clients, and subcontractors in Southern Wisconsin, so having an established, respected local expert like Jim representing us will help build on that success.”
Schleusner added, “About two-thirds of the manufacturing businesses in Wisconsin are based in the lower one-third of the state. Considering our deep history in the industrial and manufacturing markets, it makes sense to have a strong, local presence in this growing area, and Jim’s diverse background in architecture, construction, and business development gives him a unique perspective that will benefit our clients.”
Olson joins Consolidated from MSI General, where he led their design and development efforts. He holds a Masters degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning, and serves on the steering committee of the Wisconsin chapter of the Design/Build Institute of America. Jim is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers and was recognized as one of Milwaukee’s Top 40 Under 40 by the Milwaukee Business Journal in 2006. He will be based in Milwaukee.
