10/3/19 CCC Welcomes Bruce Nearhood as Strategic Accounts Manager for South Dakota
Consolidated Construction Co., Inc., a full-service design/build contractor based in Rapid City, announces the addition of Bruce Nearhood as Strategic Accounts Manager for South Dakota.
In his role, Nearhood will work to continuously develop new business opportunities for Consolidated Construction in South Dakota, with emphasis on the Black Hills region. He will work closely with clients and prospective clients to help them understand the value Consolidated can bring to their building projects, and to help ensure a smooth process from planning to design to construction.
“Consolidated Construction has seen consistent growth in and around the Black Hills region of South Dakota for the past several years,” said Gene Schleusner, Senior Vice President of Business Development for the company. “The area’s continued growth in hospitality and commercial projects intersects perfectly with our capabilities. Consolidated has expertise in many of the most in-demand building services around Rapid City, like hotels, food and beverage, and educational facilities. With the announcement of the incoming B-21 Bomber to Ellsworth AFB, our Multi-Family, Manufacturing, and Institutional divisions will also be active in the region. Bruce has strong roots in the community, and as our dedicated Strategic Accounts Manager, will be a great asset for our clients and prospective clients.”
Prior to joining Consolidated, Nearhood was the Senior Gift Planner for South Dakota State University (SDSU), where he was responsible for engaging fellow Jackrabbit alumni to encourage monetary gifts to the university. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Wealth Management for First Interstate Bank & Trust (FIBT) in Rapid City, where he provided financial planning services, money management, and managed more than $50 million in assets. It was a natural progression for Nearhood, who owned his own financial advisory business for more than 22 year before joining FIBT.
Nearhood holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from SDSU and is a Certified Financial Planner. He is a past president and board member of the Rapid City Rushmore Rotary Club, a former board member of the SDSU Council of Trustees, and a served as a board member of the SDSU Alumni Association. He will assist Consolidated customers from our Rapid City office.
