“We have worked with Consolidated on several projects in the Bakken region, and they continue to earn our confidence through competitive pricing, schedule adherence and quality of work. In an area of rapid growth and sometimes limited resources, we know that they won’t use excuses and will do what it takes to get the job done. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished with Consolidated so far, and look forward to many more projects to come!”
The Worthington Event Center and Comfort Suites hotel is a public/private joint venture to bring an exceptional venue for economic development and growth to this small community. Consolidated Construction assembled a team to find a national hotel brand and hotel owner/operator, facilitate the relationship among the city and private ownership group, source investor equity, and coordinate construction requiring both public and private contracting and bidding programs. Construction required significant labor and material coordination, as there were not only two owners, but also two distinct construction types: wood frame and structural steel/precast. The complex is now a major contributor to the local economy.
“I have worked with Consolidated on several projects and am consistently impressed by the qualities their team brings to each one. They’ve developed a very owner-friendly process that ensures good communication, realistic and reliable budgets, and on-time construction schedules. I believe they are the best value in hotel construction today.”
Don Klain, President, Lighthouse Hospitality Group
Just a short drive from Milwaukee and Chicago, residents of Burlington, Wisconsin were eager to welcome the Hampton Inn to their community. Making the leap to build on any site requires a developer with a keen eye for schedule and budget, and a great working relationship with the municipality. Consolidated’s hospitality experts worked with Lexington Hotel Development Group to facilitate the construction of this hotel with the city, architects, brand, operator, and the community at large.
“Having been involved in a number of construction projects, the two things that set Consolidated Construction Company apart from other hotel contractors is their ability to consistently complete the hotel per the agreed schedule and at the agreed upon price. These two factors together are so valuable to the owner/developer they are difficult to quantify!”
Centrally located on Ripon’s main thoroughfare, Baird Chevrolet was a high visibility dealership in need of a facelift to reflect the new Chevrolet brand. But the aging building needed some special TLC and there was plenty of upgrading to do inside on the service area, showroom, and offices. Although it had been over ten years since Lee Baird had worked with Consolidated, he recalled that positive experience, and tapped Consolidated once again for a modern dealership makeover.
“I was happy with the work Consolidated had done for me back in 2001, so I didn’t hesitate to call them again in 2012 for our dealership renovation. Once again their project came in on time and on budget, and the quality is impressive. Two GM representatives inspected things before our grand re-opening, and commented that it was the best remodel of a store this age they had ever seen. I was proud that we had been able to exceed their expectations while staying within my budget and using local subcontractors. To other dealership owners out there, I’d definitely recommend going with Consolidated to get the job done right.”
As Gusmer Enterprises in Waupaca, Wisconsin continues to grow, Consolidated has been there along the way to develop their master plan, renovate existing spaces, add on, and now, construct a state of the art, standalone laboratory facility. With a well- developed budget and schedule, Gusmer was able to influence the development of this project on the Waupaca site; keeping more jobs and industry close to home.
“Over the years Consolidated has done a fantastic job on our projects, coming in on budget and on time again and again, and this project is no different. We appreciate the great service. I must share that anytime anyone asks us about this or any project, I tell them about the on time/on budget experience. We are truly ‘singing your praises’ throughout the community.”

“Working with Consolidated Construction was the best decision we could have made when we decided to build an office building. From choosing the land to moving in, they were phenomenal to work with. They kept us out of some significantly sticky situations by helping us choose the right land to purchase. If we would have moved forward on the original lot we were looking at purchasing, that decision would have put us over budget due to the unforeseen issues with that land. The design phase was a blast. CCC (and Curtis) understood our vision and what our client needs were, and did a terrific job designing a building that matched our vision. We had absolute peace of mind during the bidding and financing processes because CCC did a wonderful job partnering with contractors, banks, etc., and dealt with all of the difficult situations behind the scenes. This allowed us to focus on running our business without the added stress and headaches of the building process. While our office was being built, we appreciated that CCC was ahead of schedule and that they got things done. Everyone from start to finish was dedicated to our project and we couldn’t be happier with the finished product! If you are looking to build or expand your business, I highly recommend CCC above any other construction group out there.”
To accommodate new equipment and facilitate their growth, Consolidated was contracted to retrofit Monarch’s current facility with a massive 80’x50’x17′ machine pit foundation. Multi-layered and stepped, this concrete work was performed by Consolidated’s in-house self-performance concrete team.
“You and your company have continued to demonstrate to us that you truly are a cut above the rest. Your attention to this small job and reflection upon your own efforts is one more example of what makes your organization better than the rest.
I’ve been asked several times about the quality and efficiency of your work and I have given Consolidated an A+ rating across the board.”
As part of a key General Motors initiative to enhance the customer experience, more than 3,400 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealerships in the United States were asked to upgrade their retail facilities to meet brand standards. Plach Chevrolet of New London, Wisconsin gladly accepted this request in order to match the look and sophistication of the products they sell. Consolidated’s architects worked with GM’s dealership brand architects to translate the concept into the plan that worked with the current building and site, and new amenities Plach was seeking.
“I’m a hands-on kind of business owner, and my dealership renovation was no exception. I knew what I wanted, and I can be pretty tenacious about getting things just right. It’s personal to me. Pam and the team at Consolidated involved me in the day-to-day decisions and problem solving on the project. I realize that’s not how everyone operates, but it was important to me to know the details. The subcontractors went over and above and the quality of their work is even better than I expected. In addition to a new building, I think we’ve created some long-term business relationships.”
Developing and operating several fitness centers, Jon Barton had never really settled on a construction partner – until he began working with Consolidated Construction in 2011. The change resulted in a drastic improvement in pre-planning, organization and timely openings of his fitness centers.
“My partners and I have developed several Gold’s Gym franchises and independent Xperience Fitness Centers throughout the Midwest and have found that Consolidated Construction is now our contractor of choice. I have been especially pleased with the management of our projects, which has made all the difference in successful execution. Our Hales Corners and Mt. Pleasant locations were managed by Paul and Jeff, true professionals who were organized, proactive and responsive throughout construction. I’m most impressed with how well the team handled adversity. Whenever challenges arose, there was no negativity. Not once. They would respond with a positive attitude and recommend solutions that had our best interest in mind, which was both refreshing and reassuring. I’d recommend Consolidated to anyone without hesitation.”
Built in 1910, Immanuel’s original church comfortably seated 200. However, with a growing congregation of over 1,250, the church deemed it necessary to provide a more comfortable and welcoming worship space. After an extensive interview process with professionalism and innovation as key decision drivers, Consolidated was chosen to help the congregation through its building activity, always with the mission to serve God and His people. In 2010, on their 150th anniversary, Immanuel Lutheran Church celebrated its first service in its new location.
“They spent a great deal of time with all the key stakeholders to design a master plan and worship facility that would best serve our Lord well into the future, while meeting the challenges of our unique building site. Their open-book pricing process allowed us to play a direct role in the timely completion of our project within budget, which allowed our congregation to remain focused on the true blessings and benefits of our new worship facility. The one thing that I find difficult to put into words, but was so critical to our successful partnership, was the open and honest communication between all parties – focused always on the best possible outcome. It was this integrity that we felt throughout the process and will remember into the future. Things like photo updates from the site manager as well as periodic ‘open houses’ of the work in progress, also played a big role in engaging the congregation in the building process and progress.”
