The Country Inn & Suites in Decorah, Iowa underwent a sizable remodel and expansion to give the hotel a more modern look. Twenty extra rooms were added and over 27,000 square feet of the existing hotel were renovated. The hotel continued normal guest operations during construction.

That was the case for Marion Body Works, a family-owned, high-quality truck body building company requiring a much needed upgrade to its headquarters and manufacturing facilities.
Marion Body Works, located in Marion, Wisconsin, chose Consolidated Construction to take on their expansion project, which included a new 18,400 square foot office headquarters and vehicle showroom and a 42,105 square foot addition to their warehouse and production building.
“The production space you built was great and put to use immediately upon your timely completion in January of 2016. I have to say that the work on our corporate office was a real ‘WOW’ for us!!! As you know, this was the largest building expansion ever undertaken by Marion Body and it was well worth it. We received great and positive comments from folks in the city of Marion as well as all the invited dignitaries at our ribbon cutting in June. Just last week, we held a National Sales Meeting for our Fire & Emergency dealers from across the country. Many of these individuals had not seen the finished work and were blown away. In addition, they were totally amazed and impressed that we broke ground on the facility last year on August 24th and occupied it in May. They are excited to put this new building to the test with new opportunities.

To remodel and expand their office space at New London Engineering, Consolidated selective-demolished and rebuilt the existing office, as well as a portion of their transition space between the office and manufacturing area. The exterior of the building was renovated as well during this time. Consolidated was able to maintain a functioning office for New London Engineering throughout the course of the project. New London Engineering is located in New London, Wisconsin and produces conveyor systems.

The Residence Inn is one of the hotels attached to the WaTiki Waterpark Resort in Box Elder, South Dakota . The hotel features spacious, residential-style studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites larger than traditional hotel guestrooms. The updated kitchens feature full-sized refrigerators and brand name appliances. Large workspaces, free high-speed Internet access, sectional sofas, 40-inch flat screen televisions and luxurious bathrooms will provide guests the extra space and amenities they need to work and relax, all in the same space.
The Residence Inn’s redesigned public spaces continue the work-stay-play philosophy, with multi-functional living spaces where guests can relax. The open communal space will allow guests to connect with friends, family or colleagues in a modern living room style lounge, or gather around the fire pit in the outdoor, open-air living room.

The Woodland Resort in Devils Lake, North Dakota features 10 new hotel units, a bait shop, a show room and a lodge entrance with office space. The resort offers a wide variety of amenities, including a lakeside restaurant and bar, boat and pontoon rentals, fish house rentals, along with modern cabins, motel rooms and deluxe lodge units.

Consolidated was selected to improve safety and security, improve public access and perception, and improve the community library. When it became apparent that costs would exceed the School District’s budget, Consolidated worked with the Architect to reduce costs by over $150,000. Bid results resulted in further savings, and the project was completed under budget and on time. In addition, Consolidated provided the School District with a 10-year Capital Maintenance Plan for their use in budgeting future capital improvements.

Plans for the new Christian Faith Fellowship church in Racine, Wisconsin spanned many years, while the congregation worked prayerfully and diligently to raise funds and secure financing for their new home. Through it all, Consolidated walked with CFF through planning, fundraising, permitting, construction and dedication, never doubting the final outcome. Completion of the first phase of this multi-phase project will allow the church to accommodate 295 people at weekly services, and provide space for communal meal preparation, meetings, and special ministries. Later construction will consist of a larger worship area, outdoor facilities, and recreational areas.

By studying the Spiros site first and understanding its wetland limitations, Consolidated was able to confidently provide master plan options to Spiros on the very first meeting, and place Consolidated far ahead of the competition. This knowledge led our architects to create the design of their 25,000sf manufacturing and office addition quickly, with all the features and amenities Spiros was looking for while still working within site restrictions. “Solid research and knowledge” was how our customer described the basis for cost and schedule estimates, and the results show in the final product.
