A highly orchestrated workflow and 7-days-a-week schedule were required to meet the owner’s equipment delivery schedule of this 60,000 square foot paper converting facility.  The project was completed in 70 days on a fast-track schedule and Economic Development Associates helped secure public-sector incentives for the project.

“Honestly, I was fairly certain that no one could meet our schedule. As the project progressed I became more and more convinced that we just might pull this off. Joe, Jason, and the rest of the guys did a great job. There were no excuses, and they finished on time. I’m not sure any other contractor could have.”

airgas egvAIRGAS

Airgas North Central has contracted CCC to design/build over 20 retail and operations locations throughout the Midwest. Their first “green” facility is located in Elk Grove Village Illinois.

“Airgas faces unique challenges in our building needs. We strive for both safety and customer convenience, however, that’s a delicate balance to strike when your chief products are industrial gases. With Consolidated, every step in the process is taken very personally. They’ve navigated us through complicated planning and permitting procedures in multiple municipalities. They’ve championed cost savings and sustainable options. They even found solutions to keep our employees and customers safe among industrial flammables and oxidizers. It’s not easy to impress a fire chief, but Consolidated’s design in Elk Grove Village surpassed code requirements and did just that.

In addition to design and construction, CCC also enlisted their economic development team (EDA) in securing public sector funding for this project. This cutting-edge new hotel brand includes advanced technology and high-end finishes throughout.

“I have been involved with 47 hotel openings in my career and this project rates among the best. The communication and accountability from the CCC team was excellent. They responded to each and every need with solutions which is rare among construction companies. I would recommend them to anyone.”

boyland infinitiBOYLAND INFINITI

After the original contractor failed to meet budget and schedule projections, Boyland tapped CCC mid-project to complete the construction of this 24,000 square foot auto dealership in a Cleveland suburb.

“I am very happy with how the construction process went as well as the follow up afterward. We had an issue with the epoxy floor in the service area, but Rich [Lewandowski, Project Manager] and Paul [Weber, Superintendent] were very quick to respond and get the situation resolved. I would highly recommend them on any type of commercial project.”

When the Cambria Suites – Appleton was originally bid, it was an untested prototype that came in more than $600,000 over the developer’s budget. While similar projects stalled in other areas of the country, Consolidated Construction led the charge to re-evaluate the design and value engineer savings that made the project feasible.

“In hotel construction, time is crucial. Rooms must be available on schedule to meet prior reservation demands. Swift Hospitality has built many hotels and CCC was the first contractor that met the budget and finished construction on time. CCC exceeded my expectations and will be my contractor of choice for future projects”.

In order to meet unforgiving harvest schedules of their agricultural customers, Central Storage and Warehouse Company could take no chances in their contractor selection. They needed speed and cold storage facility expertise to build a 45,000 square foot building in under three months. Consolidated delivered in 76 days, including cool down.

“Given our experiences with some other general contractors, we were at first very skeptical that the job could be completed in the allotted time, but CCC’s assurances and enthusiasm convinced us to proceed. Now, less than 90 days later, we have a completed facility, done on schedule, with no cut corners, and an impressive standard of quality. We were consistently amazed by CCC’s responsiveness during construction, the smooth integration of their crews and all of their subs, and the speed with which the project came together. I would highly recommend Consolidated as a company that can get the job done fast and done right.”

This 117,000 square foot building is actually comprised of seven different pre-engineered buildings, each designed to address specific needs of three separate operations and compensate for a site with differing elevations. This project was completed within eight months and came in 16% under budget.

“We looked at several different firms and selected Consolidated Construction based on their experience and knowledge in constructing this type of building. We were especially happy with the way their team worked with us in the design and estimating phases to hit our cost targets. There was good communication throughout the project, and we got the building we wanted within the timeframe needed. Excellent!”

enerpipeENERPIPE SYSTEMS

Enerpipe was looking to expand operations when it contracted CCC to complete its 16,000 square foot addition. Project manager Joe Cartwright ensured a seamless project, with zero disruption to the client’s operations.

“From the very first meeting, I knew I was dealing with honest, competent, professional people. You fulfilled the promises made in the pre-sales process and did exactly what you said you were going to do. You outshined your competition in terms of professionalism and showing interest in our company. Even though the project was not large, CCC certainly made us feel very, very important from the beginning.”

FOX VALLEY SPRING COMPANY

During the uncertainty of the Great Recession, most manufacturers chose to hunker down and maintain the status quo. But to Fox Valley Spring, the period of low interest rates was an opportune time to make capital investments in its technolgy and facility. This 2009 Fox Cities Small Manufacturer of the Year went for it, adding 28,000 square feet to their offices and production areas. They’ve now distinguished themselves as technology leaders and are poised to meet a new manufacturing landscape.

“With my executive staff, I looked at several design/builders for our building expansion. Most important to us was that we selected a company that would build a quality product, listen to our design ideas, and provide an honest, straightforward cost estimate. After comparing initial design ideas and estimates, it was Consolidated that gave us the most comprehensive package: a superior design with all of the costs spelled out clearly. We went into the project hoping for a smooth process and predictable outcome. What we got was even more. Joe, our project manager, was a master at scheduling activities with as little disruption to our operations as possible and communicated clearly and often with us every step of the way. Every subcontractor performed quality work, on time, and our on-site superintendent provided expertise and a helping hand above and beyond our expectations. Consolidated has made believers out of us that a construction project can run smoothly without headache or surprises!”

After the successful completion of their new Beefeater’s Grille & Ale House (an award-winning project for CCC), the Good Company family of restaurants grew again with the construction of a 7,000 square foot Fuddrucker’s Restaurant in Grand Chute.

“This was our first experience in working with a franchise and our second project with Consolidated Construction. Although we were dealing with a corporate office headquartered in Texas, CCC continually stepped up to the plate making sure they were accessible, responsive and in the end, met all corporate specifications. I thoroughly enjoy working with their team and look forward to our next project with them!

ILC Greenville WIIMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH

Built in 1910, Immanuel’s original church comfortably seated 200. However, with a growing congregation of over 1,250, the church deemed it necessary to provide a more comfortable and welcoming worship space. After an extensive interview process with professionalism and innovation as key decision drivers, Consolidated was chosen to help the congregation through its building activity, always with the mission to serve God and His people. In 2010, on their 150th anniversary, Immanuel Lutheran Church celebrated its first service in its new location.

“They spent a great deal of time with all the key stakeholders to design a master plan and worship facility that would best serve our Lord well into the future, while meeting the challenges of our unique building site. Their open-book pricing process allowed us to play a direct role in the timely completion of our project within budget, which allowed our congregation to remain focused on the true blessings and benefits of our new worship facility. The one thing that I find difficult to put into words, but was so critical to our successful partnership, was the open and honest communication between all parties – focused always on the best possible outcome. It was this integrity that we felt throughout the process and will remember into the future. Things like photo updates from the site manager as well as periodic ‘open houses’ of the work in progress, also played a big role in engaging the congregation in the building process and progress.”

mwcsMIDWEST COLD STORAGE & LOGISTICS

Once only a tract of land and an idea, Midwest Cold Storage is truly a win-win for the community and the cranberry growers of the region. CCC’s economic development team (EDA) secured over $3 million in public sector incentives. From development to construction, the project was completed in record time to accommodate an uncompromising cranberry harvest deadline.

“There are very few companies that have a mission statement that drives their everyday behavior. After reading yours in your lobby, I can honestly say you live and breathe it. I never anticipated the amount of help CCC was going to provide outside of just design and construction. You have truly helped us create a business through your dedication to our success. ”

wes renderingWAUKESHA ELECTRIC SYSTEMS

Undertaking a $70 million expansion with a significant economic impact, this project’s success was critical to the company, the community, and the state. To represent their best interests, Waukesha Electric selected Consolidated Construction as their Owner’s Representative for this complicated, 140,000 square foot expansion to their building and infrastructure.

“This is the largest expansion in the history of our company. It is a very high profile project for our company and for the community. We needed an expert Owner’s Representative to confidently show us how to get this done correctly. The Consolidated Construction team got our attention from day one due to their ability to listen to our needs and to customize a solution to meet them. In all areas of project execution — economic development, design, community interface, contract management, and construction — the CCC team has exceeded our high expectations. A capital project of this size and complexity is difficult to keep on schedule and on budget; it is a testament to CCC’s ability to work in our best interests that we are achieving our goals. I would highly recommend CCC to anyone considering a capital project in the future.”

WiSP tanksWISCONSIN SPECIALTY PROTEIN

Wisconsin Specialty Protein is a start-up manufacturer of organic whey protein products. The construction of this “green” building required three years of pre-development planning and design. CCC was the leader in coordinating construction of the building and installation of the unique processing systems. The plant is not only energy efficient (saving over 40% in natural gas consumption), but nearly operates itself with modern technology and equipment.

“Consolidated was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC to work with on this project. They have a design/build process that brought this $14.5 million project on time and on budget. These guys are amazing.
