7/2018 CCC Begins Construction of Iola Living Assistance Community-Based Residential Facility
The ground breaking ceremony is complete and Consolidated Construction has begun building The Willows, a new Community- Based Residential Facility (CBRF) on the Iola Living Assistance (ILA) campus at 505 W. Iola Street, Iola, Wisconsin.
“We are honored to have been chosen by Iola Living Assistance for this important project,” noted Consolidated Construction Strategic Account Manager, Tim Rinn. “This will enable ILA to offer a full portfolio of independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and community-based residential facilities to area residents.”
The 21,245 square foot assisted living community will feature 24 apartments, including an eight-bed secured Memory Care unit. Amenities include a spa, salon, and community room which will host a variety of social events and life-enrichment activities
Iola Living Assistance currently operates three facilities:
- Butternut Ridge, featuring one- and two-bedroom apartments.
- Living Oaks Assisted Living, a 24-apartment Residential Care Apartment Community.
- Iola Living Assistance Skilled Nursing Facility, a 50-bed community providing nursing care for residents in need of short- and long-term care, rehabilitation, respite, and hospice care.
“The Willows will have a huge impact on our community,” noted Nicole Barrett, Chief Executive Officer of Iola Living Assistance. “It will allow us to care for a population that we currently cannot serve. Our long term-care continuum allows us to care for people in their home community. That means their families and friends do not have to travel far to visit. We have great participation from local organizations and churches, allowing our residing residents to still be involved in their community. The area workforce will benefit as well, as this new facility will create up to 20 new jobs and more than $350,000 in wages.”
The groundbreaking ceremony took place on the site Thursday, July 19 at 10:30 a.m. Construction on the newest addition to the Iola Living Assistance campus is scheduled to be completed in spring of 2019. Todd Grunwaldt, AIA, of Grunwaldt & Halverson, LLC is the architect of record.
