8/2018 Consolidated Construction Selected to Design and Build Armament Systems and Procedures Headquarters Expansion

Consolidated Construction Co. Inc., a full-service design/build firm headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin, has been tapped by Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP) as the design-build contractor for a 35,400 sq. ft. expansion of their manufacturing, packaging, storage, and distribution headquarters in Appleton, Wisconsin.

For more than forty years, ASP has provided law enforcement, military, and security professionals with the finest tools for the safe performance of their duties, along with industry-leading training in the use of those tools.  ASP products are trusted by more than four million professionals in 100+ countries. ASP CEO Kevin Parsons says that the physical expansion has been a long time coming.

“Our business has continued to grow in double-digit percentages, not only in sales, but in the breadth and depth of the products we manufacture,” explains Parsons. “The expanded building will support current and projected growth, and also provide much-needed space for assembly and service, product development and testing, multimedia production, training and more.”

“ASP was impressed that we were able to come up with a design plan that seamlessly ties the new expansion in with the original facility and a previous expansion, making it look like the entire complex was built at the same time,” said Jeremy Walker, Strategic Account Manager with Consolidated Construction. “Coming up with a concept design that looks like a single, integrated facility rather than three buildings knit together is what encouraged ASP to build with Consolidated Construction.”

CEO Parsons also points out the blue stripe running around the new building is more than just window dressing—for ASP it has real meaning. “The thin blue line is a universal symbol of the contributions and sacrifices made by law enforcement officers,” he says. “These men and women are the reason for everything we do, and we owe our growth to the trust they have placed in us. We thought it was only fitting that this new facility be dedicated to them.”

Construction is scheduled to begin in October, 2018. Consolidated Construction is the design architect and McMahon & Associates is the architect of record.
