5/2017 Consolidated Construction Adds to Larson House Assisted Living

Consolidated Construction Co. Inc., a full-service design/build firm in Appleton, has begun construction on a new 24-unit, 28-bed CBRF to the Larson House assisted living campus at 550 River Road in Columbus, Wis.

Platinum Communities of Brookfield, Wis. owns and operates Larson House, which operates other assisted living facilities in southern Wisconsin. The company is building the new 16,500 square foot building adjacent to the current building, connected by a walkway. The new building will feature 24 assisted living units with 12 designated for residents requiring memory care. The new building will also include two spa treatment rooms, two dining rooms and two outdoor patios overlooking the neighboring golf course.

Consolidated Construction’s crews are pouring foundations at the site and will begin construction of the walls this month. Construction is expected to wrap up in November.

“The owner and the City of Columbus have been great to work with on this project,” said Tim Rinn, Consolidated Construction’s senior living market leader. “They care a great deal for seniors and their care options, and we intend to uphold that philosophy with a project that this community and its seniors enjoy and will be proud of for many years to come.”

Rob Bergmann is Consolidated Construction’s project manager. Matt Braaksma is the project superintendent on site. Todd Grunwaldt of Grunwaldt & Halverson, LLC is the architect of record.
