5/2016 Underwood Public School Grounbreaking
Consolidated Construction recently celebrated a groundbreaking at Underwood Public School in Underwood, North Dakota for an addition and renovation.
The project includes a 6,035 square foot addition to the front of the school and renovations to the school’s existing event commons and restrooms areas. The new addition will provide a new secure entrance, house administrative offices, an expanded commons area, restrooms, concession stand, ticket booth, and a multi-purpose room. The improvements address specific needs to centralize the administration team, provide handicap accessibility, improve security, and natural daylight aesthetics. The capital project comes after facility assessments by independent engineers and community listening sessions.
J2 Studio Architecture of Bismarck is the architect. James Rendle is the project manager and Craig Wollard is the site superintendent. Underwood school is located at 123 Summit Street. The project is expected to be completed by December, 2016.
