Pam Talavera, Partner & Project Director/Chief Estimator

Pam Talavera has been employed with Consolidated Construction Co., Inc. since 1989, and is a majority shareholder of the company.

Over the last 20 years, Pam has built her career through on the job training at Consolidated Construction.  Prior to joining Consolidated Construction Pam served in the United States Marine Corps following her high school graduation.

Pam’s diverse experience with CCC has truly run the gamut. Starting as a receptionist, she is a company principal that has earned her position by investing more than twenty years of long hours working her way up and learning every aspect of construction. Pam is a national award-winning Project Manager, for her work on the Village at Bay Park in 2006.

Pam presently serves double-duty within the organization. She is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the estimating team through master scheduling and review of final price estimates, while also ensuring employee development and improved systems within the department. Pam also works directly with customers on the full scope of projects in her Project Director role, seeing them from conceptual planning to the final ribbon cutting.

When Rick Bickert joined CCC in 2001, with Pam’s help he formed the Project Management team, with Pam assigned to full time project management. During that time, Pam managed over 100 projects, maintaining a consistent average of 12 projects at a time.  Individual project sizes ranged from $30,000 to $6 million and Pam managed an average of $18 million in revenue annually. Her project management responsibilities involved coordination of all in-house resources to complete a project, including: drafting; estimating; accounting; site supervision; concrete; steel; carpentry; maintaining and monitoring all financial aspects of the project such as billings, supplier invoicing and profit; client relationships–developing and maintaining a long term relationship that produces a profitable and future work with our clients; and risk management, identifying most likely risks that could occur on the project and making sure a plan is in place to manage or mitigate such risks.

Pam was responsible for self-performance take-offs of steel, concrete, carpentry, and masonry; obtaining all sub-contractor bids for all phases of construction; development of the scope of work for all phases; eventually assisting with project management site supervision.  Pam managed projects ranging from $10,000 to $3.5 million while also estimating.

Pam has also held roles within the company as Safety Director, General Office, and Accounts Payable.

Pam has played an instrumental role in the CCC’s growth. Some of her accomplishments with CCC include:
• Creation and implementation of original employment handbook and drug & alcohol policy.
• Creation and implementation of Safety Training program which resulted in reducing the company’s mod rate from 1.2 to .67 in three years.
• Performed as an Estimator, Project Manager and Safety Director simultaneously while revenues grew from 6 million to over 28 million.
• Participated in the selection of new company shareholder and leadership group.
